When thinking of museums in the Valley, people rarely list off some of the cultural sites of Mesa. However, it should be known that some of the most interesting and enlightening spots in the Valley can be found in Mesa. Aviation and history buffs will be in heaven at Falcon Field! Visit the Commemorative Air Force Museum to trace the evolution of combat aircraft from World War I to present day. Learn as docents share inspirational stories and tales of heroic partnerships between pilots and their crew, and the critical support they provided to ground and sea operations. Watch planes take off and land at historic Falcon Field – or better yet – book a once-in-a-lifetime thrill ride in one of seven WWII aircraft including open biplanes and combat bombers. Simply unforgettable.
